Youth Slang and Legal Jargon

When Legal Jargon Meets Youth Slang: An Unlikely Alliance

Alright, so, you know when you’re scrolling through the ‘gram and suddenly come across something about conditional release date and you’re like, “What even is that, man?”

And then there’s that time when you need to fill out some declaration of incapacity form and you’re just like, “Ugh, why is adulting so hard?”

Oh, and let’s not forget the classic “I Googled ‘patent law salary reddit’ and ended up on this page,” said no one ever… until now.

But seriously, legal stuff can be confusing, am I right? Like, when you need to send a sample letter of cancellation of contract, it’s like a whole new language.

And if that’s not enough, you might have to deal with Wisconsin marriage laws divorce or form of contract amendment. Like, who even came up with this stuff?

And let’s not forget about the legal drinking limit in BC or the concept of international law. Sometimes it feels like I need a degree just to understand it all.

And don’t even get me started on things like forfeiture clause in tenancy agreement or basic hospital cover for tax purposes. So. Much. Legal. Stuff.
